At Morphtxt, your privacy is a priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, & safeguard your information when you use our application (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

A. Microphone & Voice Recordings

  • How we use it: When you record, your audio is sent securely to our AI providers solely to transcribe and, if you choose, restructure your speech into clean text.
  • Data practices: Audio is processed only to produce your transcript. We do not use your recordings to train machine learning models, & we never sell, rent, or share your audio with advertisers.

B. Notes & Transcripts

  • How we use it: The text you create is saved to your account so it persists across sessions and devices and so you can edit, share, or send it.
  • Data practices: Your notes are visible only to you. You can delete any note at any time.

C. Account and Profile Data

If you create an account with us, we collect:

  • Email Address: To authenticate your login and manage your account.
  • Referral Code: A unique code used to credit free days when someone joins through your share link.

2. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you reside in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, our legal basis for collecting and using your data depends on the context:

  • Consent: For accessing your device's microphone, we rely on your explicit system-level permission. You can revoke this anytime in your device settings.
  • Contractual Necessity: We process your email, recordings, & notes to provide the core features you requested.

3. Data Retention & Deletion Rights

  • Retention: We retain your email and notes for as long as your account remains active.
  • Your Rights: You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time.
  • How to delete: You can delete notes in the app, & request complete deletion of your account, email, & history at any time via hello@morphtxt.com, & we will purge your data from our active databases within 30 days.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data. However, we use trusted third-party services to run our app — including cloud hosting and AI transcription and text processing. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and are strictly prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.
